Whether acting as a glassing outer layer in the early season or being used to add insulation and stop the wind in tandem with your late-season kit, the Challis is always appropriate. Tricep vents and a two-way center front zip allow the jacket to be used as an active insulating layer during high exertion times, while the fleece construction remains quiet and insulating when in stationary situations.

The single best piece of FL gear I’ve owned. The windproof layer is a game changer and has replaced my catalyst jacket. It is roomy enough for bibs and mid layer but thin enough to run under omen and solitude. Would really love a challis bottom with sawbuck or catalyst material below the the knee. Would adore a Challis hand muff as well.

The Challis Fleece has become a key piece in my late season layering system. I’m 5’10” and 165 lbs, and I run a size Large so it fits comfortably over my base layers and down insulation, but still slides nicely under my outer shell without feeling bulky.

It’s warm, quiet, and super comfortable — exactly what I need when temps drop. The fit and performance make it ideal for active hunts in cold conditions.
