It's a great hoody, but it is much thinner than I expected and probably would tear fairly easy in briars. The light shines right through it. But the upside is that the hood can be worn underneath your hat easily and comfortably instead of the outside which is an issue if it's covering your orange hat. Also, it is thin enough that you can still hear the animals coming and leaves rustling unlike many other hoods. So good things.

I wore it twice. One all day tree stand hunt when it was mid 30s with 20 mph sustained winds only with the catalyst softshell jacket and a wool tee shirt and I was surprised that I was never cold. It did a great job. I also wore it as a stand alone on a tree stand hunt when it was in the low 70s with a breeze and was perfect.

Also, the fabric I got had a massive brown camo blob on the hoody (like small basketball size or larger). I have all fusion camo and the one I got is pretty ugly. I would not have picked the hoody I was sent if I was at a store and saw it on the shelf. I would have either grabbed another or passed. I'm assuming this was just bad luck. I can live with it, but I don't love it. I asked for a furnace hoody for Christmas because I like it so much.

I'm 5"11 and 175 athletic build with a 43" chest and large fits me well.
