The Thermic jacket is purpose-built for bitterly cold days in the treestand or blind and is the coldest weather component of the First Lite whitetail outerwear kit. It's built using 170 gsm PrimaLoft® Gold insulation, sherpa fleece lining, and windproof technology to keep you more comfortable and maximize warmth. Additionally, it's ultra-quiet, durable, water-resistant, and includes our improved windproof technology. The Thermic Jacket is packed with whitetail features, including treestand-specific pocketing, harness pass-thru, removable hood with contoured collar, and new and improved magnetic KitLink™ system. This bomber cold-weather jacket insulates exceptionally well, blocks the wind, allows ease of movement, and wears like iron.

This is a very heavy jacket! Was a NY resident, moved out west. Got rid of my NE woods gear and now my old man has purchased a retirement cabin so of course I'm flying back for the inaugural season. Was worried my spot-and-stalk kit wouldn't keep me warm in a tree stand in late November. I think somehow I'll manage to be too hot in this. Also purchased the bibs and the Charge vest for my blaze requirement. It seems like an excellent system just from the attention to detail. I love the pass-through pockets of the vest + jacket into the bib pockets. Fit & finish are great. One thing I don't love is I have a big head (7-7/8" fitted hat) and zipping the jacket up all the way causes the snaps holding the hood on in the front to pop open, but I'm pretty sure that's just because I'm a freak. In years past, NY rifle opener has been as cold as 14F or as warm as 40F, and I'm confident this kit with just furnace or kiln base layers will be all I need. I purchased the same size as I do my wick/kiln/furnace layers--didn't size up.

First sit was warm and comfortable at 28 degrees.

I will start with I like the jacket, Size L was just a little small with base layers. I returned And got xl it fit great everywhere except the belly area if you have a beer belly it will fit great. I’m 6ft 190. Being a high end jacket should make LR an LT.

Yeah, the price tag stings a little, but this jacket proves you get exactly what you pay for. I wore a simple t-shirt, a Furnace base layer top, and this coat for two straight days of turkey hunting. It was high 30s when I walked in, climbed to 60 later, and somehow my comfort never changed. Merino really is where it’s at.

It’s not bulky. It’s practically silent. This is the ultimate hunting jacket.

Only gripe—and I can’t even count it against the stars because I’m rating this jacket—is that it’s not offered in black. I’d buy another one in a heartbeat for winter or for fishing when I don’t want camo.
