Women's 308 Lined Pant

SoftShell Fleece-Lined

Sale price$175.00

COLOR:Walnut
SIZE:16/33

We took the Women's 308 Fit and translated it into a late-season, fleece-lined option. The Lined 308 Pant adds the features needed as temperatures become increasingly colder, including a breathable 2-layer construction with 37.5 Fleece that traps heat while actively exhausting moisture, and front-of-leg cargo pockets that add stash points for late-season kit you may need to toggle.  Finally, thigh zip vents are aptly placed to dump heat during high-exertion climbs or weighted-down packouts.

Rio is 5'8" 130lbs, wearing a 27.

Great Pants

We have other First Lite pants. These have become my favorites! They are warm but not bulky. It's easy to layer under them if you want.

Meh.

I'm admittedly hard on clothing because I love to explore off-trail, but holy cow, I expect anything labeled as a ""hunting"" pant to be tougher than this. I've worn these exactly 4 times, and there's already a hole in the cargo pocket (where I keep my phone), as well as multiple small rips and snags. Speaking of cargo pockets- they're pretty small. It's almost uncomfortable to keep an iphone xr with a slim case in there. Warmth? It's just ok. I can definitely feel the cold Winter wind here in CO on my knees. The fleece is nice, and so are the vents, but don't think for a second that these are going to keep you from needing a baselayer (even if you're moving around) if it's below 40. The fit? That's a pretty personal thing, so I'm not docking any stars for the fact that it's not ""perfect"" for me, because obviously it's gonna be perfect for some of you. For me, I find the high waist to be a little annoying. It's a little bit too big for me, and the hips/thighs are slightly tight. The result is that my pack scoots the waistband down as I walk. So, I find myself stopping, unbuckling the pack, and hiking my pants back up every now and then. And the tiny leg opening? It's kinda silly how tight it fits over the top of a pair of Lowa insulated hiking boots, but at least it's easy to get a pair of gaiters on over them. I'm 5'6"", 135, and wearing a 6. The 4 was ""huntress influencer tight"" on me, and the 8 falls off. So, yeah... I've basically got a warm-ish pair of pants to wear to the grocery store in the winter, because they look like they're going to fall apart if I keep wearing them in the woods, and they aren't much warmer than the Kuiu Brush Pants that I was wearing before.

Favorite Pants

I actually wear these for my everyday chore and work pants. I live in a high desert, we live in a pretty cold and snowy climate. I wear these pants daily either by themselves or on really cold days with a set of leggings underneath for all my ranch chores. I'm usually a kuiu fan, and I do own a set of kuiu guides as well. I would choose these 308's everytime. That being said I am a slim athletic build and they fit perfect true to size. If I had a bit more curve or meat on my bones I might choose the guides for hiking and hunting because of the extra room. The 308 Lined are a little thicker than the Kuiu guides. All in all the 308 lined pants fit me absolutely perfect and are my favorite. For reference I'm 5,6 128 lbs. I wear a size 26 in ariat jeans. And I purchased a size 26 in the 308's.

Warm and flexible!

Wore these on a recent range day, chilly with a bit of wind. The lined pants were very comfortable, blocked the wind and have pockets in all the right places. will definitely get another pair!

Not the best design for off trail steep terrain

I got these to try for elk season. I ordered the lined pant in a size larger than my normal size. The pant was loose enough that I needed a belt with the up sizing. The mobility of the pant when traversing over rough terrain needs improvement. Even though the fabric is stretchy the pant is hindering when stepping over downed timber or taking higher steps up rocks or logs. On steep terrain the pant lack of mobility added unneeded work and I felt that I was fighting the pant. Fortunately we got an elk but unfortunately I ended up doing over 13 backpack miles in these pants and was sorely missing any other pants that I had back at camp. I think the fit is too straight leg and not enough articulation in the hip and knees. On the positive, the fabric is great. It was tough in brush and I didn't have an issue with leaves and burrs sticking. The fit if walking on a road or moderate trail would be fine as long as you don't need to high step. For reference my favorite elk hunting pant is the Catalyst soft shell pant.
