The new FlashStorm Jacket is an ultralight, ultra-packable, weather-bucking shell for quick rain squalls and windy glassing knobs. Weighing in at 6.5 oz, the FlashStorm stows into its chest pocket and packs down to the size of a box of 12-gauge shells. The 3-layer, water-resistant construction is fully seam taped to stand up to sudden showers and blustery ridgelines. With big performance and negligible bulk, the FlashStorm will never leave your pack.

Not waterproof

Hey,

Thank you for your review. All though this jackeet does fall under the rain jacket category we do not say this is a waterproof jacket. We do consider this water resistent shell. It does work well in light snow storms or short little rain showers. It is not designed to be super wet conditions for long periods of time. You can add some DWR treatment to it to enhance the waterproofing of the jacket. Please let us know if you have any questions!

I have 2 of these. I love them. Great windbreaker light great for quick rainstorms in the field and love wearing them cleaning slamon to stay clean
