The Suppressor Soft Shell Jacket is purpose-built for the elements hunters face from the waning days of summer through the frigid closing day of the season. This windproof fabrication delivers incredible durability and stretch for unrestricted mobility in harsh environments with PFAS-free water resistance to shed light rain and snow. When I switched from Sitka to Firstlite the one thing that I felt Firstlite was really missing was a wind proof, water resistant soft shell with heat dumps. I am very happy with the Suppressor so far I just wish you would bring back Cipher

Just wore it Elk hunting this morning in rain showers. Excellent jacket, quiet, warm, and with pockets where they should be. Had bino harness and pack on, and rifle on a sling for a comfortable few miles. Really appreciated the vents too. I am looking forward to more outings this season.

Great quality jacket. The vents are perfectly positioned for use with a bino harness and heavy pack. Perfect outer layer for the mountains/ backcountry to keep cool on the move and warm when glassing. My only criticism would be that I would have liked to see this jacket have a breast pocket or some kind of internal pocket. I would buy this again. I am 6’ 3” 205lbs and I purchased a large. I found it to be true to fit and allowed for layering. If you prefer a more loose fit you could get an XL however I am happy with the large.

To start I am 6ft and 240lbs. I have fluctuated between 210-250 my adult life and the XL is a perfect fit for me. I love the chest zips. Seems well thought out. It’s very comfortable and the multiple hood adjustments have been great so far. I have a 7 day deer hunt coming up and I’m looking forward to putting it through it’s paces.

I’m 5’ 5” 180-190 pounds and the large fit me the best. I also tried an XL, it gave me a lot more room for layering but was baggy.

Overall this jacket is top notch, great stretch, it cuts the wind tremendously, packs down well, it fits great (I have big shoulders and arms, most jackets make layering really tough, not this one), the vents are incredibly designed- same with the cuffs, hood and pockets. The outer material is quiet (but not overly fuzzy, it dodges burrs really well), although there is a slight crinkle from the windproof membrane.

I tried on First Lite’s biggest competitors windproof shell equivalent (jetstream), and they recently made that jacket quieter, and it was still so loud I wouldn’t even dare bow hunt in it. The suppressor on the other hand was so quiet that I’m actually bowhunting whitetails in it right now!

I’m not a huge First Lite guy but this jacket is a massive winner and I can’t wait to check out what else First Lite is offering now.

If I could change one thing about this jacket I would make the hand pockets a little bigger and the zipper a little longer, although the pockets are incredibly streamlined as they are.
