4.5L Waterproof Fabric with PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation

Sale price$500.00

COLOR:First Lite Typha

The Migrator Wader Jacket is the ultimate full-season waterproof duck jacket optimized for hunting in waders. Loaded with our most popular waterfowl features like magnetic shell pockets, a dual-cinch wading belt, and watertight folding cuffs, this jacket was designed with a shorter torso length and waterproof bottom hem to keep hunters dry while navigating high waters.

The Migrator Jacket is constructed of a durable 4.5L waterproof body fabric and insulated with a versatile 133gsm of PrimaLoft® Gold synthetic insulation to keep hunters toasty warm deep into their seasons. When frigid temperatures of the late season mean busting thick ice to open the hole, the Migrator Jacket is fit to be layered with a packable Primer Puffy Jacket or Vest for a total insulation package of 213gsm of PrimaLoft® Gold for the most extreme cold conditions.

Michael is 5'11" 170 lbs wearing a size Medium.

Love this thing.

Was on the fence about an insulated outer shell, but it pairs perfectly with the rugged wool hoody. No real need to run anything else under it. Ordered a medium and a large. Kept the large for a little more spacious fit. The medium fit, but was a little snug and the pockets were too high for easy access.

F**k yah, bud!

First off, yer boy don't usually be writin' reviews, which oughtta tell you somethin' right there. Took this puppy out for its second hunt, but first REAL hunt this morning and hoooooooooo-ey this bad boy kicks so much butt it's unreal! Rain, snow, 40mph winds, 15 degree windchill, retrieving decoys in 4ft of frigid a** water and DAWG I was warm and dry — and I mean DRY.I'm talkin' dryer'n'a nun's nethers dry. I'm talkin' Hilary Clinton dry. I'm talkin' DRY DRY DRY and WARM WARM WARM. At 6'0"" roughly 200lbs with a ≈46 inch chest, an XL fits about perfect. It's oversized enough that another heavy insulating layer could easily fit underneath, but not so oversized that you feel like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Goes To The Duck Marsh. This thing is well thought out, and sturdily built. Pockets kept everything dry and — now, I KNOW I should stop smokin' them cigarettes, but gosh darn if there ain't nothin' better than a duck shoot and a smoke — even my zippo and pack of smokes stayed dry in the zippered chest pocket. The pass-through in the hand warmer pocket is a nice touch. The jacket is insulated enough that you stay warm standin' still waitin' for birds to fly in, but you don't die from heat exhaustion while loading in and out. Now, I have a few gripes, but they're small. Bellows/dump pockets could be slightly deeper and sit higher on the jacket. The sleeves are a bit on the long side. The D-rings feel a bit chintzy, and are a little too small. It would be nice if the d-rings were metal, larger, and affixed to the jacket with something a little sturdier. Also, I'd prefer that the cinch, which — don't get me wrong — is very nice, utilized a metal g-hook, cam buckle, metal cinch lock or something similar. I know half the darn jacket is plastic, but the large plastic components feel like the only real weak spots, and almost certainly will be the first points of failure. My final gripe is that the darn thing don't make you a better shot. I was hopin' that for $500, this puppy would raise the gun and pull the trigger for me, but nope, I still can't shoot for s**t. Maybe it'll pluck birds for me, iunno… guess I'll actually have to shoot one and find out. Now, real talk, is it worth the $500? Only you can really answer that, but I'll say this: you've already spent how much money on guns, cartridges, dog, dekes, waders, etc., etc….? How much is your comfort worth to you? To me, it's worth about $500. All said and done, 6.66/5 stars 🤘🤘🤘
