Waterfowlers make up a small percentage of hunters who get truly stoked when they see sleet, snow, and driving winds in the forecast. Cold weather kick-starts migrations from the north, and heavy precipitation + wind forces the birds to fly low, on the lookout for cover and safe-haven with other flocks, increasing the opportunity for sweet-talking waterfowlers to coax them into their decoy spreads.

The Refuge Bib was built for performance in the extreme cold of late-season field hunting with its robust insulation package, durable waterproof/windproof fabrication, and an extensive feature set optimized for pit and layout blinds.

We’ve fit the Refuge Bib under the Refuge Parka with enough room to comfortably layer heavy Base-Layer and Transitional Outerwear (like Catalyst or Brooks) underneath to keep hunters comfortable from 30 degrees to well below zero. The KitLink accessibility of the Refuge Parka is aligned for integration with the merino fleece hand muff of the Refuge Bib, carefully designed to help hunters go farther and stay longer through the best, worst days in the field.

Refuge Bins

These bibs, matched with the Parka are a perfect combo for cold mornings in the field or duck blind. Plenty of insulation and windproof to keep the chill off.

Top Notch HGear

I have used Banded and some Sitka gear. This set of bibs and parka are exactly what I was looking for! Late season Michigan and Wyoming hunts are really cold. This gear seems to be built well, lots of zippered pockets and extra handwarmers. Look forward to late season honkers !

Ultimate Warmth

If warmth is what you need this system will deliver. Both wind-proof & water-proof with padding in the right areas to prevent fatigue and keep you warm. It is tough with what you come to expect from First Lite. The price is a premium; however, this system is worth the price because of the ability to keep you dry and warm in the worst winter conditions. It is a bulky outfit but still very easy to adjust and move as needed. I would consider this a system that is only for very cold hunting days as it does heat up. I have had no issues with the zippers staying zipped or any failures within the jacket or bibs. I believe anyone needing a solid warm hunting system will not be disappointed. Happy Hunting!

The bibs you want for cold weather

I'm 6'3"" 200lbs and they fit me like a glove. Size large I use those bibs for mid November to the end of December every weekend I go hunting waterfowl. They are really warm and keep me dry even when I'm hunting in snowy/rainy morning.
