I have had this vest since mid summer. However haven’t started using it until the last couple of weeks. Archery season is in here in MD and PA. This piece is fictional as a stand alone piece or a layering garment. Anything with Primaloft is warm.

The unfortunate part of this piece is the outer fabric. It acts like a piece of Velcro when it touches a tree. I first noticed this when wearing it in a tree stand. When I sat against the tree and went to stand up, it grabs the bark of the tree and makes noise when pealing off the tree. Not as loud as Velcro obviously, but it’s a noise nonetheless. Not good for close whitetail during an archery situation.

Aside from that problem, it functions as described. But because of the outer fabric I wouldn’t purchase for archery hunting.

Perfect layer for when I want warmth, but don't want a full jacket on. It is warm, comfortable, silent, and works well with my tree harness. Everything I need in an early to mid-season whitetail vest here in MN and WI

Great Except for One Thing

I bought the Source vest for hunting and casual wear. I generally like the vest. Fit is good and keeps me warm in cool weather. However, the exterior fabric pills so much I don't wear it casually.
