We are proud to introduce the Trace System: a Quarter Zip top and Pant purpose-built for hunts when humidity and temperature both crest 90. Constructed with porous yet durable KineticGrid™ fabric and treated with HeiQ Pure Odor Control Technology, this system offers maximum breathability and odor control in a silent, ultralight package. Whether you are hunting South Carolina’s August whitetail opener or baking in an archery blind waiting on an antelope, the Trace System will keep you cool and comfortable.

The Trace Quarter Zip features a low-profile collar for protection from the sun and bugs. Additionally, the deep quarter zip allows for maximum ventilation. Dual side-dump pockets on the chest remain accessible with the use of a binocular harness for quick, easy, and accessible gear/phone storage. The integrated thumb loops provide concealment and prevent bunching or sliding up of your sleeves when adding or removing layers.

The size is a problem. I ordered an XL and it is snug all around.

I used this shirt for 7 days of early archery elk hunting and 6 days of archery Antelope hunting. In both cases the temperatures were 30+c, the shirt was breathable, dried quickly, and didn’t smell too badly. Cons; the forearms fit tight keeping it away from the bow string (which is great), but they are so tight they are difficult to get over my hands, and I can’t pull the sleeves up at all. The other concern I have is the fabric on the sleeves snagged quite a bit. Specifically, during the elk hunt where there was dense brush. The chest also showed some wear from my backpack straps.
Overall I found the shirt to be comfortable during the hot weather, but I’m unsure how long it is going to hold up in thick brush conditions.
