I used it a lot during the 2025 turkey season. Walked the pine ridge in Nebraska for several days, couple of days in Kansas et multiple days in the province of Quebec. The main idea of the vest is great. Extremely lightweight and compact. Couple of times while I was hiking in the mountains I told myself ''I'm glad I got this vest''. It is so lightweight and compact that you forget you're wearing it. The seat is awesome and I could put everything I wanted in it. I couldn't believe how spacious it was. And the carrying portion is large enough to carry a big Tom + a decoy. But, like everything that is made for the first time, there's a couple of things to redesign and re-adjust. The main flaw is the box call compartment. I had to leave my box call in the truck because, first, there is no kind of layer seperating the box from the handle. So when you walk, it squeaks a lot. Add to that the fact that the compartment is not tight enough. The magnet in the flap that holds the box call in it's place is not strong enough. Everytime I sat down, it would open. I did lost my box call one time because of that. The good thing of this compartment is it's detachable. So, I decided to permenantly remove it. I would of make the deeper pockets for the mouth calls. The ones outside the side compartments. I regularly had to push them back down to prevent them from falling of. I also would've make the striker compartment attachments upside down. Grabbing my strikers was a pain because the handles are placed upward and pointing toward the armpit. You have to be flexible the grab them. I'd like to grab them downward. I could do it but I would've grab them by the points and if your hands or glove are wet or covered with dirt, you'll totally mess your strikers. If First Lite addresses these small issues for the 2.0 version, this would make the Treeline vest the best vest on the market.
