Q

How do you wash/clean this jacket?

Asked by Christine
Verified Reply - ClaytonHey Christine! Washing instructions for our puffy jackets can be found on the interior stomach tag within your garment!
Q

White cloud vs chamberlain? Hunting in Alaska and looking for difference in these warm puffies. Already sporting your merino base up to furnace, Catalyst jacket, and Uncompaghre to get me through most seasons. Need something for late season glassing and mountains to swap out the Unc as my puffy layer.

Asked by Chris
Verified Reply - ClaytonHey Chris! Great question! Both of these jackets are great options for what you are describing, but their differences come purely from their insulation. Our Chamberlin Down Jacket offers a fully down insulation creating the ultimate warmth, as well as packability option. Our WhiteCloud Jacket offers a Primaloft Gold insulation package, which, while also warm, is better when wet which might be more of what you are looking for in a wet and cold Alaskan environment!
Q

Whitecloud verses Brookes? Which is the warmest for whitetail 20 degree?

Asked by Bob
Verified Reply - ClaytonHey Bob! I would recommend our White Cloud jacket over the Brooks as it is warmer for those frigid temperatures while up in a tree!
Q

Looking for a puffy jacket for whitetails in the Midwest, solid color, but also something I could take out west if needed. Was going back and forth between this and the chamberlin and was unsure if either of those are viable options to cover both ends of the hunting spectrum?

Asked by Nick
Verified Reply - ClaytonHey Nick! Both of those jackets are great options for what you are describing! Although I might consider the Whitecloud jacket more if you anticipate seeing any precipitation on your pursuits.
Q

How loud is this in below freezing temperatures?

Asked by Chris
Verified Reply - ClaytonHey Chris, this item is not necessarily loud in colder environments, but being that it is a down fill puffy jacket it will be louder than a merino wool! In saying that, if you are looking for a silent puffy jacket I would highly suggest our Core and Thermic Series Jackets!
Q

What is the loft of the down used in the Primaloft/down blend (the 70%)

Asked by Chuck
Verified Reply - ClaytonHello Chuck, the Down fill power is rated at a 750 Fill!
Q

Looking at the specifications for this jacket, 251 gms of Primaloft, then a note is provided stating 70% down & 30% synthetic. Is this garment made with 251 gms of Primaloft Gold insulation per square meter?

Asked by Alan
Verified Reply - KyleIt's 251g per square meter.
Q

How does sizing work? If all my other FL tops are sized large...in order to use the Whitecloud as an outter layer for glassing, would you recommend ordering the Whitecloud is Large or XL?

Asked by Josh
Verified Reply - ClaytonHey Josh! So the sizing on this jacket is made to go over a thinner layer such as a wick base layer or lighter jacket. If planning to put this over a heavy jacket of multiple thicker layers I might consider going up to that XL!
Q

How much does a large weigh?

Asked by Morgen
Verified Reply - ClaytonHey Morgen! This jacket weighs 22 ounces in its entirety!
Q

What is the total weight of the jacket (large)? I'm assuming it is directly between the Brooks and the Chamberlain. Does going with the Synthetic and down blend increase the weight opposed to strictly down?

Asked by Dustin
Verified Reply - ClaytonHey Dustin! The weight of this jacket is 22 ounces. In regards to weight, going with a blend of synthetic and down produces a more durable, as well as quicker drying jacket when compared to down itself. While also being warmer than most synthetics!
