Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. First Lite’s “Whitetail” Giveaway Sweepstakes offered by MeatEater Inc. (“Sponsor”) is open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states including DC, ages 21 or older. Residents of Canada are not eligible to enter. Enter between Monday, October 13th, 2025 and Monday, November 3rd, 2025 11:59PM MDT.

- Participants are required to opt-in their email and phone number to gain (1) entry to participate in the giveaway. By submitting their information via the form, they are required to opt-in to all participating brand newsletters
- Purchasing during our Whitetail Giveaway timeline will give you additional entries aside from the standard "email and phone number opt in”
- For every $50 spent on product (excludes taxes, shipping, fees, etc.), you get 10 additional entries.

2) Eligibility. Sweepstakes is open to persons who are legal residents of the 50 United States including the District of Columbia age 21 or older. Residents of Canada are not eligible to enter. Employees of Sponsor, and their related companies or agents, and their immediate family members (including mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, grandchild, in-laws or guardians, and a spouse, partner or companion of any of them), regardless of where they live; or persons who reside in the same household (whether related or not), are not eligible.
3) Entry Period. The Entry Period for the Sweepstakes opens Monday, October 13th, 2025 and closes Monday November 3rd, 2025 11:59 PM MST. Sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeper for this Sweepstakes.
4) To Enter. Persons who meet the eligibility requirements and have read and accepted these Official Rules may go to Sponsor’s webpage at https://firstlite.com to enter and subscribe to the newsletters of Sponsor, and to subscribe to receive SMS messages.Participants can gain (1) entry by opting in their email & phone number to participate in the giveaway. By submitting their information via the form, they are required to opt-in to all participating brand newsletters If you already are a subscriber of the Sponsor’s newsletter, and/or subscribed to received SMS messages, that will count toward your entry. By entering this Sweepstakes you agree to and accept these Official Rules. You may unsubscribe from either of the newsletters or SMS at any time by following the instructions in the email, which will not impact your entry into this sweepstakes.
5) Ineligible Entries. If Sponsor receives more than two (2) Sweepstakes entry as permitted for any entrant, including under variations of name or email address, Sponsor reserves the right to void all such entries. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected or scrambled entries. Incomplete or illegible entries will not be accepted. Entries by any automated process or bot, or by any third party, or web site or online service, including without limitation commercial promotion subscription notification or entering services, are ineligible and shall be void.
6) Selection of Winner. A random drawing will be conducted on or about Friday, November 7th, 2025 from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. By participating, you agree that the decisions of Sponsor are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes and you further agree that you release Sponsor from all liability concerning the Sweepstakes. All entries become property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
7) Privacy and Communications. By submitting an entry, entrants acknowledge and agree that their information will be treated in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy.
Entrants also agree that Sponsor may contact potential winner about the Sweepstakes, and may use winner’s name, city/state, likeness, biographical information, voice, or statements attributed to winner, for publication, advertising and promotional purposes in any media, without further consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.

Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the First Lite Summer Scouting Giveaway: Total: $22,447.74. All federal, state and local taxes and duties are the sole responsibility of the winner. Tax reporting required and winners must provide Sponsor with their social security number in order to comply with relevant tax reporting obligations. Prize and its components may not be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash, except as expressly permitted in these Rules; provided, that Sponsor may substitute prize or any component of equal or greater value due to prize availability. In the event the winner is unable to accept the prize for any reason, and notifies Sponsor prior to Friday, November 28th, 2025, a new winner will be selected following the procedures outlined above.
9) Winner Notification and Verification. Sponsor will contact the potential winner at the email address provided with entry to assess eligibility. Within seven days of first attempted notification by Sponsor, potential winner will be required to reply with confirmation of receipt. Winners may be required to complete, sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release and indemnification, a W-9 Tax form, a publicity release where allowed by law, as well as other documents that Sponsor may require. Failure to respond, of eligibility or to meet any requirement may result in prize forfeiture, and an alternate potential winner may be selected.
Potential winner will be contacted by Sponsor in order to obtain required information to deliver the contest prizes, including but not limited to: name, contact info, shipping address. 10) Prize Restrictions. The following conditions apply to the prize giveaway:
Winner must comply with all federal (U.S.), state and local laws and regulations pertaining to gun ownership, possession, transport and usage. Prize weapons will not be delivered to any state or area where such items are prohibited by law. If delivery, ownership, transport or usage of such weapons would be in violation of any applicable law or regulation, Sponsor may substitute an alternate prize item of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.
Prize pistol delivery to winner shall be conducted through a federally licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer selected by winner, in strict compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Winner must apply for and pass an FBI NICS form 4473 background check to receive possession of the firearm from the dealer. Sponsor is not responsible for federal decisions concerning passage of background check, choice of dealer or delivery of rifle to winner.
11) Release and Other Conditions. By accepting the prize, winner agrees that Sponsor, Prize Providers and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and successors (i) have no liability or responsibility for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind including personal injury or death resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of the prize and will be held harmless against any claims of liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize; and (ii) may use winner’s name, city/state, likeness, biographical information, voice, or statements attributed to winner, for publication, advertising and promotional purposes in any media, without additional consideration, where lawful.
12) Administration of Sweepstakes. Sponsor is not responsible for any computer or human error or interference which compromises the administration or proper play of the Sweepstakes. All federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
13) Winner’s List and Official Rules. For the winner's name or a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your request to MeatEater Inc., 131 Discovery Dr, Bozeman, MT 59718 by Friday, November, 7th.

15) Disputes. This promotion is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Promotion, participants agree that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Promotion, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Idaho having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (e.g. costs associated with entering), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
16) In the event Sponsor is prevented from continuing with the Sweepstakes as contemplated or by any event beyond its control, including, but not limited to, fire, flood, epidemic / pandemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared) or any federal, state, or local government law, order, or regulation, public health crisis, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor’s control (each a “Force Majeure” event or occurrence), then subject to any governmental approval which may be required, Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Sweepstakes. In the event the Sweepstakes is terminated for any reason, and to the extent feasible, Sponsor may award the prizes via random drawing from among all valid entries received up to the time of the action taken by the Sponsor.
17) MeatEater Inc. will share all entry email addresses with participating partners who will be supplying contest prizes. All persons who enter the sweepstakes understand and agree to having their submission information shared with these participating partners. By entering, participants agree that MeatEater partner brands including Phelps Game Calls, FHF Gear, MeatEater & DSD, may use their contact information for marketing and promotional purposes.
18) Privacy and Communications. By submitting an entry, entrants agree that Sponsor may share their contact information with the Prize Providers, and Sponsor and Prize Providers may send the entrants emails with newsletters and information about promotions and offers. Each promotional email will include instructions to opt out of receiving future promotional emails. Except as otherwise may be stated in these Official Rules, information collected in connection with this Sweepstakes will be used in accordance with Sponsor’s or Prize Providers’ privacy policies, as applicable. By submitting an entry, entrants agree to the privacy policies of Sponsor and all Prize Providers.
Entrants also agree that Sponsor may contact potential winner(s) about the Sweepstakes, and may use winner’s name, city/state, likeness, biographical information, voice, or statements attributed to winner (if true), for publication, advertising and promotional purposes in any media, without further consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.

HUNT OVERVIEW
Hunting whitetail in the rolling plains of West Texas offers a truly unique experience to pursue some of the biggest free-range deer in the country. Available from October through January, this trophy whitetail hunt gives you a prime opportunity to pursue some of Texas’ most impressive bucks.
The country you’ll hunt is rich in natural resources, with ample water, cover, and browse that attract and sustain a thriving deer population. With bucks regularly scoring between 110–200 B&C, you can expect to see plenty of game. Rattling during the rut is especially effective, giving you the chance to call in some big, aggressive bucks during the peak of the season.
The method of pursuit will vary depending on the weather and time of year. Typical methods include rattling, spot and stalk, safari style, and stand hunting. Guides are accommodating to the hunter’s desired form of pursuit, but will also be working to give the hunter the best chance of a successful harvest.
Bonus Experiences Included (after successful whitetail harvest): guided waterfowl, quail, and thermal hog hunting—an action-packed add-on to round out the trip.

RESTRICTIONS / FINE PRINT
- Winner and guests are responsible for travel to/from the ranch; on-site transport provided by guides during the hunt.
- Valid Texas hunting license required for all hunting participants; hunter education requirements apply per TPWD rules.
- Firearms, ammunition, personal gear, gratuities, meat processing, taxidermy, and shipping are not included. Ranch/guide will assist with field care and referrals to local processors/taxidermists. (guides can provide firearms if desired, need at least 2x weeks heads up on this).
- Dates subject to ranch/guide availability and wildlife/season regulations; blackout dates may apply.
- Non-hunter upgrade to hunter (+$5,000) must be arranged in advance and is subject to capacity limits and applicable tags/licenses.
- Package is valid for the 2026–2027 or 2027–2028 season only; non-transferable without BirdDog’s written consent.
