308 Whitetail Pant

Best pants I have had for hunting I have walked through the swamp with thick cover and they have held up great and they cut wind pretty good

If you hunt ag fields these wouldn’t be too bad, but I wouldn’t recommend the 308 Whitetail Pant for hunting in anywhere with underbrush…aka whitetail habitat. Wish I had my $180 back and another pair of cheap hunting pants to beat on without wincing every time my pants get another handful of 25 cent pullers from a blueberry bush looking at me. Finally splurged for a piece of First Lite gear rather than getting something cheap/mid range that in theory wouldn’t last as long, but the legs are loaded with pullers after wearing these 3-4 times in the woods. Can’t imagine these last more than 2-3 seasons before the fabric on my calves/ankles starts to fall apart.

The only reason I gave these two stars is because the inner thigh pocket is convenient when wearing a harness or saddle and the built in belt is nice.

I want to love these pants, however the description lead me to believe they were my “ go-to pants for the treestand, the saddle, the field, and everything in between.” However they will not hold up to scouting in anything that will pull them such as light brambles. I still wear them as a layer for mid season hangs but I bought them with the intention of using them for everything in between. My first scout I wore them on had me go through 50 yards of sparse, low laying wild raspberries and just that short distance left me with several pulls on the lower legs of the pant. I cant imagine trying to track an animal through brush with them.
