I bring this vest with me whenever I travel. The Sawtooth works as a light layer to put on or remove as needed to keep core areas warm. I like how it's not bulky and its breathable. It packs in a day pack and takes little room. This vest is not a heavy cold weather vest its best used at cool temps or active times. I also use it regularly as a layer with a heavier jacket over the top as well.

I was buying gear last fall and really haven't used a vest previously for hunting. Turns out this has become my favorite piece in archery. During early season I store in pack and during the evenings add on to take the chill off. Later in the season I layer underneath and love that this keeps all the layers tight to chest - not only for warmth but also keeps the bulk away for when drawing the bow. I finally made the purchase on fist lite the other year and havent regretted. Ive done many did 8 hr stand sits during the rut and the clothing helps those sits more enjoyable.

The sawtooth did not get used most days, but when the wind started to bite on the glassing peaks, thats where the vest shines. Adding an extra layer when I needed it most to keep my core toasty and my eyes alert. The sawtooth is a win.

Its lighter-weight than I thought it would be, but it has been a major addition to my kit for the past 2 years. I use it walking in (couple miles) with a heavy pack on cold mornings (30s) over a baselayer out west. It goes on as a midlayer for treestand hunts in the midwest. Warmer than you'd think by looking at it and packs up pretty small.

Vest fits great and works with many different layering options . It's my go to for early and mid season
