Review of the First Lite Uncompahgre Foundry Jacket:
After two different days fishing in icy, windy conditions, I can confidently say this jacket exceeded my expectations.
As a fishing guide, I rely on gear that keeps me warm without limiting movement, and the Uncompahgre Foundry Jacket delivers exactly that. Both times I wore it on the water I stayed toasty warm (even with cold wind where my fishing line kept freezing). At the same time, it’s lightweight and flexible enough that I could cast, handle rods, and land fish without feeling restricted.
The insulation does an excellent job trapping heat, and the overall construction feels rugged and purpose-built for people who spend long hours outdoors. When you’re guiding or fishing all day, comfort and mobility matter just as much as warmth, and this jacket checks all three boxes.
If you spend time outside in cold, windy conditions—especially on the water—this is a piece of gear you can depend on. Highly recommend.

I hate this jacket, I owned the SEAK and then their next same jacket after, as well as the vapor light, but this one is the worst because as no wrist cuffs too tighten or adjust and the sleeves hang long or slide up and down. Poor design.
