This is a nice light layer/ sun hoodie. Very light weight and feels comfortable. The sleeves were annoyingly tight in my normal size, so i had to size up one just so the sleeves were comfortable enough.
Now the insect repelent treatment says its good for 100 washes or something close to that. Ive washed this one twice. During a squirrel hunt in the Texas coastal woods that was thick with mosquitos, the mosquitos didnt seem to care about the treatment and i got atleast 50 bites through the shirt... however those mosquitos probably bathe in deet for fun so take that for what its worth.
I like the shirt alot but the short comings in the tight sleeves and the not so effective insect treatment bumped my impression down to 4 stars.
fabric feels a bit cheap for what it is, and the shirt should be like two inches longer. I am not a fat person by any means and wear my pants at a normal height but the bottom of the sweatshirt just rested at my belt line when standing up straight. This is an issue when you're moving around while hunting, especially in areas with ticks or thorns.
Will use it early bow season
Used during some hotter days with no wind. Wicks moister out well and drys quickly. Had a couple branches and oak brush snag my sleeves and did not tear. Has some durability but would recommend consistent thick brush.
I have worn it many times in hot weather and it works fantastic! Looking forward to using it this deer or antelope during archery season. Will be taking it to Africa in a couple weeks and I will find out how the bug repellent does. I have ordered it for my wife but it is always back ordered so please get it back in stock- Thanks
